User guide

Learn how to use the system, protect your data, and avoid common mistakes.

1. What this system does

This app was created for individual use by self-employed professionals.

  • Manages products, inventory, sales, installments, receipts, reports, and backups.
  • Uses a local database on the device, without relying on a server or a permanent internet connection.
  • Handles active and canceled sales, and paid, pending, or overdue installments.
  • Lets you mark installments as paid and share receipts through apps available on your device.

2. Initial setup

  • Open Backup and Settings.
  • Enter the business or professional name, phone/WhatsApp, and address. Email and CNPJ (Brazilian business registration number) are optional, but must be valid if provided.
  • This information appears on receipts and reports.
  • Choose the visual theme and tap Save Settings before you start selling.

3. Dashboard

  • Shows products, sales, revenue, average sale value, recent sales, and low stock.
  • The receivables alert brings together overdue installments, customers, due dates, and overdue amounts.
  • Use Refresh after a change and quick actions to add products or sales.

4. Adding products

  • Enter a name, price, stock quantity, and optionally a photo from the camera or gallery.
  • The app processes the image before saving to keep the database and backups small.
  • Edit details or photos and search active products by name.
  • When archiving, provide a reason. The product becomes unavailable for new sales but remains in history and reports.
  • Under Archived products, view or restore the product.

5. Recording sales

  • Enter the customer, select a product and quantity, and tap Add item.
  • Edit quantities or remove items before recording the sale.
  • Select payment and, when needed, a due date and up to 12 installments.
  • Use Description / Notes for additional information and record the sale; stock will be deducted automatically.
  • Search by customer and filter by all, paid, pending, or overdue.
  • Canceled sales remain available in history.

6. Payments

  • Pix, cash, debit card, and bank transfer are recorded as paid immediately.
  • Credit card sales are marked as paid for the merchant; installments are for reference only, since collection is handled by the card issuer or bank.
  • Boleto (Brazilian payment slip) and Other may create pending installments. The due date cannot be earlier than the sale.
  • Pending installments must be marked as paid manually as the customer pays.

7. Managing installments

  • Open the sale, select the pending installment, and enter the payment date and method.
  • When all active installments are paid, the sale is marked as paid.
  • To change installments for a canceled sale, restore the sale first.
  • Use Reports to track receivables, outstanding payments, and due dates.

8. Receipts

  • Use the receipt button on a recorded sale.
  • The document shows the customer, date, items, payment, total, and saved business details.
  • Share or save using your device's options.
  • A receipt cannot be generated for a canceled sale.

9. Canceling a sale

  • Cancellation requires confirmation and a reason, returns products to stock, and removes the sale from active results.
  • View the history under Canceled sales.
  • Restoration requires sufficient stock, deducts the products again, and reactivates installments.
  • If a product is archived, its stock is still returned normally.

10. Reports and export

  • Track sales, products, revenue, payments, receivables, and low stock.
  • Filter by period, customer, payment, and active or canceled sales. The 12 months shortcut covers the last 12 months up to today.
  • In the products report, filter active, archived, or all products and search by name.
  • Use View details to check items and installments.
  • Low stock means an active product with 3 units or fewer.
  • Export CSV to open in Excel or PDF to save, print, and share. Files follow the selected filters and can be renamed.

11. Backups and changing devices

  • Data stays on the device. Without a backup, damage, formatting, clearing data, or uninstalling may cause permanent loss.
  • Export frequently and keep copies in different secure locations.
  • Backups include settings, theme, products, processed photos, sales, items, and installments.
  • On another device, install the app, import the file, and check the restored data.
  • Merge adds or updates data. Use Replace only to replace all data with the backup.
  • Back up before updating, changing devices, formatting, or uninstalling the app.

12. Important limitations

Read this section before using the app in your business.

  • The app has no cloud storage, login, or automatic synchronization between devices.
  • It does not issue tax invoices, NFC-e, or fiscal receipts.
  • It does not integrate with banks, card terminals, Mercado Pago, or external systems.
  • It cannot recover lost data without a backup.
  • The contact channel handles specific questions; improvements, customization, and individual assistance may incur charges.
  • It is a simple local management tool for self-employed professionals, rather than a full ERP system.

Legal document

Privacy Policy

Version dated July 22, 2026.

1. Who we are

Controla Venda is an Android app developed by Silvana Betoldo under the Criativament brand. For privacy matters, email [email protected].

2. How the app works

The app works primarily offline, with no login, dedicated account, data server, synchronization, or remote database. The information you enter is stored in the device's local SQLite database.

3. Data entered by the user

You may record information locally, including:

This data is used to perform the functions requested within the app itself. The developer does not automatically receive the contents of the local database.

4. Device permissions

5. Backups and sharing

Exported files may contain business and personal data you have entered. You choose where to save or share these files and are responsible for protecting them, controlling access, and deleting unnecessary copies.

6. Google Play, purchases, and ads

Versions distributed through Google Play may use Google services to process a Premium purchase, restore usage entitlements, prevent fraud, and display ads in the free version. These services may process device identifiers, purchase information, IP address, diagnostics, and interactions according to Google's policies. Controla Venda does not receive complete card details or payment credentials.

6.1. Access to this website

This website's hosting service may record technical data needed to deliver and secure pages, such as IP address, date, time, browser, and error logs. We use Google Analytics to measure visits and understand, in aggregate, how pages are used. This service may use cookies and process identifiers, device data, approximate IP address, and browsing information according to Google's policies. The website has no registration or form of its own.

7. Retention and deletion

Local data remains on the device as long as the app and its data are kept. Deletion may occur by clearing app data or uninstalling. Archived products and canceled sales remain in history as part of the system's functionality. Backup files must be deleted separately by the user.

8. Security and user responsibility

We adopt measures appropriate to the app's local architecture. Even so, no device is completely immune to loss, unauthorized access, or failure. We recommend a screen lock, Android updates, and backups in a trusted location.

9. Children and adolescents

The app is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children's data for profiling.

10. Rights and contact

Because operational data stays on the device itself, you can directly access, correct, export, and delete it locally. Privacy questions may be sent to the email address provided in this policy.

11. Changes

This policy may be updated to reflect legal or functional changes. The current version will be published on this page with its update date.

By installing or using Controla Venda, you declare that you have read and agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the License Agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

2. Purpose

Controla Venda helps you locally record products, inventory, sales, payments, installments, reports, and backups. It does not replace accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice and does not issue tax documents.

3. User responsibilities

4. Free and Premium versions

The free version may display ads and impose usage limits, while preserving access to existing records according to the rules shown in the app. The Premium version may remove ads and limits through a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. Applicable prices and conditions are those presented in the official purchase flow.

5. Purchase, restoration, and refund

Purchases, payments, cancellations, and refunds follow Google Play's rules. Restoration depends on the Google account that made the purchase, store availability, and validation of the usage entitlement. Refunds, chargebacks, or revocation may remove Premium access.

6. Availability and updates

We strive to keep the app functional, but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation on all devices, manufacturers, or Android versions. Updates may be needed for security, compatibility, and compliance with Google Play rules.

7. Backups and data loss

Storage is local. You are responsible for exporting and testing backups. The developer cannot recover data that was never exported and is not responsible for loss caused by uninstalling, clearing data, malfunction, theft, formatting, or improper use of the device.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided as an auxiliary tool. Business decisions and data verification remain your responsibility. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory rights under Brazilian law.

9. Intellectual property

The Controla Venda name, software, interface, and materials are protected. Installation grants only the limited license described in the EULA, without transferring ownership.

10. Changes and contact

These Terms may be updated. Continued use after an applicable update constitutes acceptance of the new version, subject to legal rights. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
