This Privacy Policy explains how Criativament PDF handles information and files used when reading, organizing, scanning, creating, and annotating PDF documents.
1. Information the app accesses
The app accesses PDFs and images you select, PDFs received through “Open with,” and the folder you authorize in the Android picker. The Open folder option lists PDFs in that folder, without scanning the entire device or automatically including its subfolders. Files may be on the device or with a storage provider made available by the system.
Criativament PDF may also save information locally, such as:
- a list of recent documents;
- the page where you stopped reading;
- documents marked as favorites;
- bookmarked pages, document names, access addresses, sizes, and page counts;
- content identifiers used to recognize copies and a reference to the selected folder;
- the local status of the entitlement to remove ads;
- theme preferences and reading settings.
2. How this information is used
Information saved by the app is used to improve the experience, allowing you to resume reading, find recent documents, and keep your preferences. Searching, selecting/copying, merging, splitting, image conversion, and annotations are processed locally. The editor saves changes to a copy of the PDF. When you copy text, it is placed on the Android clipboard, subject to system controls and the apps into which you paste it.
3. Local storage
Settings, favorites, and reading history are stored on your device. The app does not maintain an online account, remote database, or its own server to store this data.
Files opened through the picker may remain as references to the originals. The app may create temporary copies for reading or sharing. PDFs received from other apps, older copies, and tool results may be kept in the app's private storage. Temporary files are removed when possible after an operation finishes; interruptions or failures may leave them in the cache. Copies completed by the editor may retain local recovery metadata until they are added to the library.
The current configuration allows Android backup. Depending on your device and settings, eligible data and files in the app's storage may be included in backups or transfers to another device. This process is managed by the system and backup provider, not by a Criativament PDF server. Check your account and device backup options.
4. Data sharing
Criativament PDF does not sell personal data or share PDF documents with third parties on its own initiative.
If you use the operating system's sharing features, a file may be sent to the app or service you choose, such as email, messaging, or cloud storage. In these cases, data processing is subject to the selected service's policies.
5. Login and registration
The app does not require its own account for its main features. A protected PDF may require the document password to open; the app does not save this password in its library or settings. Purchases and restoration use your Google Play account, without asking you to provide its password to Criativament PDF.
6. Ads and third-party services
Criativament PDF may display ads provided by Google AdMob, Google's advertising service. To load, measure, protect, and improve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and share information such as IP address, interactions with the app and ads, diagnostic information, and device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID when available.
This information may be used for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and performance measurement. Processing of this data is also subject to Google's policies. Learn more at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and manage user consent when required by the laws applicable in your region. Through the options presented, you can accept or refuse consent and, where applicable, review your choices later in the app's settings.
Depending on consent choices, your region, and applicable law, personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads may be displayed. To provide ads, store privacy choices, and measure performance, Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) may use cookies (where applicable), local storage, advertising identifiers, and similar technologies, when available and permitted.
The contents of PDF files you open are not sent to Google AdMob for advertising purposes. The current version integrates banner, interstitial, and app open ads. When an ad removal purchase is recognized, the app blocks these formats. This purchase does not delete data previously processed by Google services.
7. Scanner and file access
The scanner opens at your initiative and uses the Google Play Services scanning interface (ML Kit). Capture uses the camera within that interface, and the returned images are processed on the device to create the PDF. First use may require Google Play Services to download components.
The app does not request broad access to all files, audio recording, or its own camera permission. PDFs, folders, and images are selected through system pickers; the scanner's camera is operated by Google's component. Folder authorization may be retained for later use. You can change the folder in the app and manage the access controls provided by Android or the provider. A cloud provider may use the internet when supplying a file.
8. Purchase to remove ads
Ad removal is a one-time purchase, without a subscription, processed by Google Play. The store displays the price and currency before confirmation. The app receives purchase information, such as product, transaction status, and token, to confirm payment and check or restore the benefit. It keeps the status of the ad removal entitlement locally.
Criativament PDF does not receive your complete card details or payment credentials. This version has no dedicated purchase validation server: the app performs checks and confirmation with Google Play. Payments, transaction history, and refunds are handled by the store. Clearing app data does not delete the purchase record in Google Play.
9. Security
The app was designed to preserve your original documents and avoid automatic changes to files. Even so, you are responsible for keeping your device secure and carefully choosing the external services with which you share your files.
10. Children's privacy
Criativament PDF is not specifically directed at children and does not knowingly collect children's personal data.
11. Data retention and deletion
Criativament PDF does not offer account registration or store PDF documents on its own servers. Reading history, favorites, and preferences are saved locally on your device. Clear Recents only hides history entries: it does not delete documents, favorites, or bookmarks. Search may still find these records. The app's private data and files remain until they are removed, app data is cleared in Android settings, or the app is uninstalled. Save or share any copies you want to keep beforehand.
Clearing data or uninstalling does not delete original PDFs in external folders, shared files, exported copies, or backups maintained by the system. Manage these items in their respective locations or services. Restoring a backup may bring old data back.

If you contact us by email, the address and content you send will be used to handle your request through the email service. Avoid sending documents or passwords that are not needed for support. Data processed by third-party services, such as Google AdMob and Google Play, is also subject to the respective provider's controls and policies.
12. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect app improvements, legal changes, or new features. The last updated date will always appear at the top of this page.
